Atlassian's cloud-based solution is a very easy-to-deploy tool – even for small teams – without worrying about operational issues.

For this workshop, we are happy to receive both users with prior experience that is only just beginning to understand this world and Jira and Confluence data center users interested in the unique features and differences found in the cloud system.

The goal of this workshop is that by the end of the course, you should be familiar with the world of Atlassian and the possibilities offered by Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence.

For admins, we recommend our training course for Jira administrators (currently only available in Hungarian), where they can effortlessly transfer what they learn in a server environment to their cloud platform.

Course Topics

  • The world of Atlassian: The history of the Australian company, a brief introduction to its products, and an introduction to its ecosystem, so we have a mutual basis for understanding a world that can help effectively exploit the true potential of teams.
  • Jira basics: Learning about software development, business and customer service solutions – what the project is, what we understand by a particular task and how we can work in it, collaborating with others, and what the difference is between Jira and Jira Service Management.
  • ... and beyond the basics: Practical tips and tricks, to effortlessly find your current tasks, how to make them even easier to manage, what notification and reporting options are available, and how to make it easier to formulate your requests to administrators.
  • Confluence basics: Learn about a tool to support knowledge base creation, how to create a space, create a page, collaborate, maintain content, and some basic macro usage – as well as potential integration possibilities with Jira.
  • Special features of the cloud : Differences between 'Team managed' and 'Company managed' projects, Jira Service Management projects, business-type projects, automatizations, and various payment constructions.

After the course

  • Participants will feel at home in the Jira and Confluence platforms.
  • They will have gained skills beyond basic functions – through features that do not require administrator privileges – and learned to shape their work environment to their own needs with the help of dashboards and queries.
  • They will have tried out good practices that increase the effectiveness of their team, for instance, in relation to project management, worktime accounting and building cooperation.
