We will attend to the Atlassian Team ’25 event to be held at Anaheim, California between 8th and 10th April 2025. During the Atlassian Team ’25 event. We will hold Our own event and to make things more interesting. We would like to make a competition that revolves around Our Atlassian add-on named Email This Issue for JIRA (JETI for short).
The Email This Issue Partner Engineer of the Year Award aims to recognize and celebrate innovation, excellence, and outstanding technical achievements in integrating Email This Issue within various systems. The awards will be presented at the META-INF event during the Atlassian Team 25. The competition is open to engineers who have developed unique and impactful solutions using Email This Issue, showcasing technical expertise and innovation.
Participation in the awards is based on nominations received from partners and clients. A dedicated nomination email campaign will be conducted, inviting partners to recommend engineers who have made significant contributions. Nominees will then be contacted by Us and given the opportunity to submit their work for evaluation.
Partners and clients can nominate engineers (hereinafter as: “Nominee”) by submitting their names and relevant project details. Self-nominations are also allowed. Nominations will be collected via email and a dedicated form. Nominees must submit their projects through the official submission form.
Nominees may be eliminated from the competition for the following reasons:
a) Failure to Meet Submission Requirements – If a Nominee does not provide all required information, including personal details, project descriptions, supporting documentation, or fails to meet the technical requirements outlined in the competition rules, their submission will be considered incomplete and will not be evaluated.
b) Submission of False, Misleading, or Fraudulent Information – Any participant found to have provided false information about their identity, project originality, or technical implementation will be immediately disqualified. Nominees must ensure that all claims about their project’s functionality and integration capabilities are truthful and verifiable.
c) Non-Adherence to the Theme or Award Categories – Submissions that do not feature Email This Issue as a core component or fail to align with the specified award categories will not be considered for evaluation.
d) Violation of Intellectual Property Rights – Nominees must submit only work they have the legal right to share. Any submission that infringes on third-party copyrights, trademarks, patents, or other proprietary rights will be disqualified.
e) Breach of Ethical or Professional Standards – Submissions containing inappropriate, offensive, or unethical content, including but not limited to discriminatory remarks, explicit material, or unethical data handling, will result in elimination. Additionally, projects that promote harmful, illegal, or controversial activities will be disqualified.
f) Failure to Comply with GDPR and Data Privacy Policies – If a Nominee submits content that violates data protection regulations, including GDPR, or does not obtain necessary permissions for sharing personal or proprietary data, their submission will be removed from consideration.
g) Non-Original Work or Plagiarism – Submissions must be original and created by the Nominee. Any project found to be copied, plagiarized, or previously submitted to another competition without significant new development will be disqualified.
h) Missed Deadlines – All nominations and project submissions must be received by the specified deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances unless an extension is formally announced by META-INF.
i) Conflict of Interest – If a Nominee has an undisclosed direct affiliation with a judge or a member of the organizing team, and this conflict is discovered, their submission may be eliminated to maintain fairness and transparency.
j) Attempts to Influence Judges or Organizers – Any attempt to bribe, manipulate, or improperly influence the judging panel or organizers will lead to immediate disqualification and potential banning from future competitions.
The nomination process will remain open until the last moment. The final deadline for project submissions is March 20, 2025. The winners will be announced during the META-INF Event at TEAM25.
3.1. All Nominees must submit personal and contact information, including their full name, email address, company name, job title, and optionally, their LinkedIn profile. In addition to this, the submission must include project details such as the project title, the award category, a short description not exceeding 500 words, a technical overview detailing the integrations, tools, and add-ons used, a summary of challenges faced and solutions implemented, and supporting materials such as screenshots, diagrams, or demo videos.
3.2. Nominees must also provide explicit consent for the publication of their name, photo, and project details on META-INF’s website and social media channels or marketing materials. They must agree to being contacted by META-INF for further collaboration, development, or marketing opportunities and confirm their acceptance of the award submission terms and conditions as well as the privacy policy of META-INF.
3.3. Nominees may withdraw their submission at any time by providing written notice to META-INF. However, withdrawal after the submission deadline will not revoke any permissions granted for marketing or promotional use unless explicitly requested.
4.1. The awards will be divided into four categories.
4.2. The Best System Integration category will recognize the best integration of Email This Issue with external systems, where an email-based channel must be involved. The evaluation will focus on functionality, quality of communication, and clarity of implementation.
4.3. The Most Innovative Implementation in a Unique Environment category will highlight the most creative non-IT use cases, with evaluation criteria including industry uniqueness and impact.
4.4. The Most Complex Mail Handler Implementation category will celebrate sophisticated mail handling and automation. Complexity, algorithm design, and advanced email handling features will be the primary evaluation factors.
4.5. The Special Recognition Award will be given to outstanding projects that do not fit into the above categories.
4.6. The projects will be evaluated by a panel of Our Email This Issue experts
5.1. The winners will receive both a trophy and a valuable prize. Additionally, the winning projects may be featured in META-INF marketing materials.
5.2. One of the following prizes will be awarded to the Nominees who will be chosen as winner:
· Lego set;
· Sony PlayStation 5 Slim;
· Sony PlayStation VR2
· Meta Quest 2 VR headset
The prizes will be handed out randomly for each of the categories. All the prizes represent the same value.
5.3. We reserve the right to substitute the prize specified above with an equivalent or similar prize at any time until the winners are announced.
5.4. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Each Nominee may be awarded with only one prize during the entire duration of the competition and only in one category.
5.5. The awards will be presented during the META-INF event in Anaheim. We notify the winners on spot, at the META-INF event. If the winner is not present and does not claim the prize on the spot, the award and prize may be handed over to anyone who is present on behalf of the winning Nominee’s organization. We shall have no liability whatsoever in case the person to whom the prize is handed over loses or damages the prize or does not hand it over to the winning Nominee.
The Nominee is responsible for the payment of any personal income tax or similar public charges associated with the prizes if any. We shall have no further obligations other than handing over the prizes as described above.
7.1. Participation in the competition is entirely voluntary, and there is no entry fee required. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition if unforeseen circumstances, force majeure, or technical limitations beyond its control arise. Any significant changes will be communicated promptly. In the event of the latter we shall not be held liable for any consequences or expectations that the Nominees may have had.
7.2. By submitting a project, participants represent and warrant that they are the rightful creator or have obtained necessary permissions to submit the work. The submission must not contain proprietary, confidential, or third-party content without the appropriate rights. META-INF is not liable for any disputes arising from intellectual property infringement or unauthorized disclosures.
7.3. The competition does not constitute a bribe or incentive that would violate Atlassian’s ethical guidelines.
7.4. The competition is not funded, sponsored or anyhow endorsed by Atlassian or any third parties providing the prizes.
7.5. In case the prize is a product, given that the prize is not provided by Us, We shall not be liable for its quantity and quality, and the winner may, within the limits of the law, assert such claims against the manufacturer, distributor or other person providing the prize. We cannot be considered as the manufacturer or distributor of the prizes, and the information provided by Us on the prize is not a substitute for obtaining the information from the manufacturer or distributor nor shall it be considered as a warranty statement. We shall have no responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of the information relating to the aforementioned prize
By submitting a project, Nominees should grant META-INF a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display the submitted projects, particularly but not exclusively for marketing, promotional, and product development purposes. However, the participant retains full ownership of their work. This clause ensures that META-INF can showcase the winning projects without legal complications while protecting the intellectual property rights of Nominees.
9.1. All personal data submitted as part of this competition will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679. META-INF is committed to ensuring the confidentiality and security of all collected data.
9.2. We as the data controller, process the personal data provided by the Nominee or the organization nominated the Nominee in connection with the competition, for the duration of the competition for the purpose of participation and for the purpose of notifying the Nominee and also for the purpose of handing over the award and other prizes. Other processing or processing for a longer period may only take place with the express consent of the Nominee. In the latter case the data is processed by Us until the consent is withdrawn.
9.3. We process the following personal data of the Nominee:

· e-mail address
· company
· job title
· LinkedIn profile
· Photo of the Nominee
9.4. We warrant that the data will be processed in compliance with all applicable legal provisions. We provide the Nominees with the opportunity to request information about the processing of their personal data, to request their deletion, restriction of processing or rectification of data at any time by e-mail to privacy@meta-inf.hu. In addition, the Nominees have the right to object to the processing of their personal data and the right to data portability. If the Nominee does not agree with the decision taken by Us based on his/her objection, he/she may appeal to the court or the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (address: 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9-11, Hungary, postal address: 1363 Budapest, PO Box 9, Hungary, phone: +36 1 391 1400, +36 30 683 5969, +36 30 549 6838, fax: +36 1 391-1410, e-mail: ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu) or any other European data protection authority (https://edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/about-edpb/members_en) if the Nominee’s place of residence is within the European Union.
9.5. The Nominee acknowledges that requesting the deletion of the data necessary to participate in the competition before the prize is awarded will result in disqualification from the competition.

If any submitted project contains confidential or proprietary information, the Nominee must explicitly mark it as such. META-INF will treat these submissions with strict confidentiality and will not disclose them without prior written consent. This protects Nominees who may want to submit unpublished innovations while still competing for the awards.
Nominees must adhere to a professional code of conduct, ensuring that all submissions are ethical and do not include offensive, plagiarized, or fraudulent content. Any violation of this principle may result in disqualification and potential exclusion from future awards.
12.1. META-INF should limit its liability by stating that it is not responsible for any losses or damages incurred as a result of participating in the competition. This could include misinterpretation of rules, data loss, or unexpected program changes.
12.2. META-INF shall not be held responsible for delays, modifications, or cancellations of the awards due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government regulations, pandemics, cyberattacks, technical failures, or other events classified as force majeure. If the event is canceled due to force majeure, META-INF reserves the right to reschedule or conduct the awards through alternative means.
13.1. There is no appeal process in place for Nominees who disagree with the results.
13.2. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be exclusively resolved in the competent courts of Budapest, Hungary.
The present Tems shall be governed by Hungarian law. In matters not regulated herein Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code and other relevant laws shall prevail.
15.1. META-INF reserves the right to contact Nominees for future development, marketing, and partnership opportunities. For any inquiries, Nominees may contact lorena.santana@meta-inf.hu.
15.2. By submitting a project, the Nominee declares that he/she accepts the provisions of these Terms and the related privacy policy. We shall have no liability whatsoever to any Nominee or any other person who participates in the contest in breach of any applicable laws, contractual obligations or the provisions of these Terms.
15.3. The Nominees shall exercise due diligence when providing his/her details. We shall not be liable for any damage or inconveniences caused to the Nominee during the use of the application website or any other site that is related to the contest, due to the Nominee's failure to exercise due care. The Nominee shall act fairly and with due regard for the rights and interests of others. All Nominees shall refrain from any activity that could interfere with the proper use of the aforementioned websites.
15.4. The Nominee shall comply with the applicable laws and shall refrain from any activity that is unlawful or prejudicial to the interests of others. In particular, the Nominee shall respect the privacy and personal rights of others, the rights to intellectual property, in particular the rules on the protection of literary, scientific and artistic works, inventions, designs, utility models, trademarks and works protected by copyright. The Nominee shall refrain from committing any minor or criminal offence. All Nominees must refrain from any activity that is prejudicial to the interests of META-INF.
15.5. META-INF reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time, provided that such modifications do not unfairly disadvantage existing Nominees. Any material changes will be communicated to Nominees via email or the official submission platform. Continued participation in the competition following such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
